Excellpack is a Bulgarian manufacturer of multilayer plastic casings for the food industry. Founded in 2001, the company produces the Flexcell range of casings and supplies sausage, ham, hot dog, dairy product and pet food manufacturers in more than 30 countries across four continents.
Extrusion, flexographic printing, and shirring all happen under one roof at our plant near Plovdiv, allowing us to stay nimble and maintain a typical lead time of under four weeks. Long-term customer and distributor relationships are central to how we work, built on professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to doing what we say.
Alongside our own production, we distribute fibrous, cellulose and collagen casings, so customers can source a full casing offering from a single supplier. We continuously invest in reducing waste and improving energy efficiency, including 1.2 MW of installed solar capacity, while adopting new materials and technologies early to improve the performance and sustainability of our products.
Bureau Veritas has audited the food safety management system of Excellpack Bulgaria Limited (scope: production of printed and non-printed multilayer casings for food industry produced from polyamide and polyethylene) and certified it is in accordance with the requirements of the standards detailed below:
• Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) 22000: certification scheme for food safety systems including ISO 22000:2018, ISO/TS 22002-4:2013 and additional FSSC 22000 requirements (certificate number: CZE-2100195/2)
• ISO 14001:2015 (certificate number: BG003736)
• ISO 9001:2015 (certificate number: BG003735)
Halal Products Research Institute of Bulgaria has certified that Excellpack’s multilayer plastic casings meet the Halal requirements in accordance with Islam (certificate number: 02-1000-I-025).
